Seymour Duncan makes exact replicas of the original pickups: Antiquity for 1950 Fender® Lap Steel / 11034-45. If the tuning machine is still intact and you only need to replace the buttons, they are available from StewMac (vintage type, the white ones are correct). It is the KLUSON® 3 PLATE PLASTIC BUTTON NICKEL Item # WD90NPP. The original tuning machine is still being produced by Kluson. It's a shame that people still plunder these guitars for parts, because they sound fantastic and they have become quite rare themselves (in original working condition). I am now in the process of restoring the guitar to its original state, trying to be technically and cosmetically as correct as possible. Pickup, knobs, jack and wiring harness are missing. Tuner buttons have disintegrated (as usual with those guitars), tuning machine parts are bent and loose. The body, wiring cover, logo plate, "fretboard", string ferrules and jack cup are in very good condition. I recently bought an early 1950s Fender Champion Lap Steel that had been plundered for parts. Hi, everyone! Just signed up to share some information about my Fender Champion Lap Steel restoration project.
